Carved headstone In Affectionate Remembrance of HANNAH wife of SAMUEL SHEARD late of SOUTH PEAT PITS OVENDEN who died March 22nd 1862 in the 71st year of her age. 'Kiss the son lest he be angry and ye perish from the way when his wrath is kindled but a little blessed are they that put their trust in him.' Also of the above SAMUEL SHEARD who died June 27th 1868 aged 72 years.
